An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Assistant Manager – Sales to join the team of Corporate & MICE sales in Jumeirah Emirates Tower. Your key responsibilities will include:
Execute and manage the Sales strategy for Indian market to promote sales, identify business opportunities in the marketplace, and achieve the annual sales objectives by delivering on assigned KPI’s within the APAC region.
Collaborates with off-property sales channels to ensure sales efforts are coordinated, complimentary, and not redundant.
Build strong relationships with relevant business units to maintain a comprehensive knowledge of their offerings, including offers, promotions, market and competitor trends, account share and customer needs to continuously deliver high quality service thus meeting/exceeding the Sales targets.
Remain up to date with the revenue budget and targets. Maintain actual and forecasted volumes and occupancies of space and rooms inventory in the business unit to sell them and meet/exceed the established sales targets.
Manage Sales target reports and put measures in place to achieve or exceed the team and individual targets. Prepare regular forecasts for Sales targets and submit the report to immediate reporting manager on quarterly basis.
Maximize room occupancy and achieve target room night sales by identifying new business opportunities, converting inquiries, and optimizing existing accounts.
Manage the research and sourcing of attractive new business opportunities and leads in APAC; attend and represent the business units at industry events, road shows, trade shows and management events etc. to keep a high profile in the marketplace and increase the growth target.
Establish, build, and manage strong relationships with existing and new accounts to enable future bookings and work to meet sales targets as assigned.
Maximize the use of Microsoft Dynamics CRM of all relevant account information and sending our groups leads to the Event Conversion team.
Conducts in house site inspections and presentations to potential clients.
Continually evaluates markets and evolving needs, comparing them with existing products and services (keep abreast of market trends and economy)
Manage the account details so that all pertinent aspects of solicitation and closing are completed and documented.
Maintain up to date data on all SBU related customer production and leads. Track performance per segment and actively support all liaison meetings.
Identification of opportunities for participating in change initiatives, programs and projects considering best practices, improvement in processes and productivity
Manage the day-to-day operations of the Sales function by providing guidance, encouraging teamwork, and facilitating related professional work processes to achieve high performance standards and liaise with internal and external parties at the appropriate levels to ensure smooth flow of operations.
Maintain up to date records of all business unit specific business development initiatives, promotions, and the respective support sales activities of own business unit.
Perform related tasks and duties as assigned and deemed responsible by management.
About You:
Minimum 3 years of sales experience, preferably with an international hospitality company.
Strong understanding of core hotelier operations preferred.
Experience of developing and executing sales strategies that align with business objectives.
Experience of demonstrating marketing analysis and reporting.
